Gavin has proven to be the one person in Windsor I miss the most, and the only one Brad and I have stayed in touch with. We’ve managed to maintain a 10 year friendship with some very memorable visits back and forth.  I was thrilled when he and Marie came up a couple of weeks ago to discuss business cards for Mimetic Entertainment. Gavin was gracious enough to put together a promo video for me, which is still in the works – but in the meantime, check out the How Many Days video that’s up on his YouTube channel – it’s a good peak at what we do….

This project was particularly exciting for me because it was the first time I have been asked to create a one-off design. Which means we ordered three plates, to only create one final piece – so very different than creating 160 invititations! You can see in the images how important it was for this bride to have her one year anniversary gift to her husband match their wedding invitations. She brought me an invite, and we color matched, and also used the same fonts and background. The end result was a beautiful version of their vows stylized after their invitations, to frame and treasure.

The idea of working for other professionals does not get old.  I was thrilled when Jeremy of Photobox Photography in London contacted me to create letterpress DVD covers for their discs that they give to clients.  We knew we were going to go with a blind hit, but instead of just going without ink, I used a touch of our tint base to create a watermark impression.  The end result is quite perfect…

Erin loves the details. Which is great, because I do too. It was important to Erin that the damask design element we chose with her invitations was carried throughout her wedding day as well. So even the back of every table number was hand stamped. Her groom picked up on this – and when he approached me to create a custom designed keepsake version of a poem he wrote for Erin for her to open on their big day while she was getting ready (melt my heart!) he explicitly requested that we design it to match the invitations as well.

The table numbers was a great place for Craig to display a love of his own – classic cars. Not only did every table feature a different photo from their engagement session – but instead of table numbers each table was named for a different car.
